It has been a long while since the last post. I just finished reading Al Mohler’s book, “The Conviction to Lead” and he had a chapter on The Digital Leader. In this chapter he mentioned that as a leader in the church, our organization exists to serve the mission defined by our beliefs and part of leading is communicating that message.  The world is turning more and more to digital communication and like it or not by me, those that neglect the digital world is shrinking so if I am not careful, I will turn around one day and find out no one is following.

In the book, Al Mohler challenges leaders to have a presence on the internet so I am mounting up again and even have joined Twitter (George Lockyer or geo_lock) I am not ready yet for Facebook but perhaps one day I will take the plunge.

Upcoming on this site is I am preparing an 8 week course on Proverbs for Parents of Teens. I will begin to post notes and thoughts on this topic along with other ways to encourage families. Image
